It's been an extremely busy couple of days with check-ins, placement tests, registration, last-minute shopping, etc.! I've finally finished unpacking (YAY!), although my things aren't necessarily in the places they'll stay. The room's still a little messy, but that's to be expected with four girls moving into one room. I'll have pictures as soon as I finish putting my things together :)
I'm coming to love college life! All of my roommates are really nice and I'm not really stressing as much as I thought I would. My junior/sophomore roomies have taken pity on this poor freshman and have shown me around and explained how things work ;)
Classes stared today! I just got back from my first class not too long ago, which was english, and I liked it. :) Not too bad, although we do have homework.. Not due 'til Friday! I'll try to post more soon!

So today was our first day to actually go on campus! We attended Sunday morning and night services today, I haven't registered yet, but that will happen in the morning! I have currently, ummm.. "misplaced" the usb to my camera.. So as soon as I find it, we'll be back to having normal pictures, but these are from my dad's phone.
This was our view during Sunday School. First row, very close to the center.. I very much liked these seats(:
I don't know if you can see this (if you click on the picture, it gets bigger), but this is a picture of the choir and orchestra. Yes, I said orchestra. They have an orchestra for church services. This was during church, and we had moved back considerably. Still, it was nice(:
Tomorrow I move in.. Yay!! Moving in and getting all my stuff situated and meeting my roommates has been what I've been looking forward to most, and I'm ready to go! I choose classes Tuesday and classes actually start on Monday.. Fun stuff ;)

Anyways, this is my college stuff in the back of our van. We'll get to Florida tomorrow & relax, then I register for classes and move into my dorm Monday night. My family is staying for a few days.. Makes me feel a little better :)

Only 3 days until I leave for college! I started packing a few days ago, but never really kept up with it until today. This is what I have done so far... Don't be fooled. There is soooo much stuff in the big zebra duffel... All 20 something of my skirts, all of my tank tops, all of my pajamas, and all of my towels. With room to spare. All but two pairs of my shoes are in the smaller zebra bag, and all of my jewelry is put away in my organizer... Still so much left to pack. I may need to get my own trailer house put next to the dorms to hold all of my stuff! ;)

There's only 16 days until I leave for college! I posted recently that my mom & I went shopping for things I'd need, and among those things were binders. We (my mom & I) had seen some really cute binder inserts online, but they were too expensive, so we decided to make some of our own! They were pretty easy to make.. So here's a tutorial on how to make them!
First thing's first. Here's what you'll need:
- Open clear-pocket binders.. Make sure you'll be able to slide paper into the pocket.
- Two pieces of each scrapbook paper pattern- We got ours at Hobby Lobby
- Editing software- We used the software that came with my mom's Silouhette Cameo. I'm sure you can use any editing software
- Printer/Ink (duh.)
- A strong glue stick.
First: Measure the length and height of the binder, then cut out a slightly smaller sized piece of scrapbook paper. Save your scrap paper. You'll need it later. Slide this piece in the front pocket.
Second: This part is kind of tricky, and hard to explain, so please forgive me if this doesn't make a lot of sense. On the back of the binder, there's most likely two black little bolts or fasteners that they use for the rings on the inside. You'll have to measure from the bolts to the end of the binder, and then cut slightly smaller than that. If that didn't make sense, look at the picture below(: So now, slide that in. Once again, save your scrap paper.
Third: Now here's where your scrap paper comes in! You'll use it to slide in the side pocket. Sometimes they won't fit perfectly, but that's okay. If you have a paper that's a bit too big, you can cut it to fit, but we just used whatever fit.
Fourth: You can download a monogram template from the internet, but we bought one from the software we had with my mom's Cameo machine. If you're going to cut out your frame by hand, find a simple template! You can download any font you want from pretty much anywhere on the internet. Choose your colors and center them in the monogram frame, then print it out on cardstock. I don't recommend using printer paper. Cardstock is thicker, it's easier to cut, and it just looks nicer.
Sixth: If your scrapbook paper is already in the binder, take it out (duh). Put glue on the back of the monogram frame and press it firmly into the center of the scrapbook paper. Let the glue dry for a second, then slide your paper into the binder. Now you're done! I hope you understood all of the steps... If you have any questions, leave me a comment and I'll be sure to answer them(:
Enjoy your binders!
